Injury Recovery
Let’s get you strong and back to your life and sport
Regain strength confidence in what your body can do with a program designed to help you move without pain and get back to the activities you love.
Healing the injury is only part of recovery
An injury can change far more than the area that hurts. Pain, weakness and limited movement often cause you to shift how you stand, walk, lift or exercise, relying on other parts of your body to compensate for what the injured area cannot yet do.
Even after the injury has healed or you have finished physical therapy, those adaptations can remain, creating muscular imbalances that affect how well you move and may lead to continued pain, discomfort or decreased function.
Addressing those changes early helps you restore better movement, rebuild strength and prevent temporary compensations from becoming the way your body learns to move long term.
Bridge the gap between recovery and everything you want to be able to do
-
Using Pilates, neuromuscular retraining and progressive strength work, we retrain movement patterns that may have changed because of pain, weakness, immobilization or compensation. We look at the injury, how the rest of your body has adapted and what still feels limited so we can improve alignment, mobility, stability and coordination to help your body distribute effort more effectively.
-
Strengthen the injured area while continuing to train and condition the rest of your body. We adjust resistance, movement complexity and exercise selection based on how your body responds so you can keep progressing without repeatedly aggravating the injury or creating new compensations elsewhere.
-
We progressively reconnect recovery to real movement so the things that once felt uncertain, difficult or out of reach begin to feel possible again. As strength, control and tolerance improve, we prepare your body for increasingly demanding movements and help you understand how to use what you have gained outside the studio.
-
As your body becomes ready for more, your training evolves beyond basic recovery into the strength, conditioning and movement demands of your life and sport. Whether that means returning to running, skiing, tennis, hiking, strength training or simply feeling fit again, we continue building from where your body is now toward everything you want to be able to do.
Get back to living with more freedom in your body.
Recovery should give you more than a healed injury. It should help you move with less pain, feel stronger in your body and trust yourself to participate more fully in the things that matter to you.
